Community First

🌟 Empowering

Empowering Communities,
Changing Narratives

Vicsal Foundation, Inc. was established with a singular purpose: to serve the underserved. We believe that every Filipino deserves access to quality education, sustainable livelihood, and a community that uplifts rather than limits.

From the bustling heart of Cebu City to remote barangays across the Visayas, our programs are designed to be holistic, sustainable, and deeply rooted in the communities we serve.

Vision
A nation where every community thrives with dignity and opportunity.
Mission
To deliver impactful programs that uplift lives through education, livelihood, and care.

Our Core Values

The principles that guide every program, every partnership, and every peso we steward on behalf of those we serve.

🎯

Integrity

We uphold transparency and accountability in all financial and operational matters, honoring the trust of our donors, partners, and communities.

01
❤️

Compassion

We lead with empathy. Every program we design begins with listening deeply to those we serve, ensuring relevance and lasting impact.

02
🌱

Sustainability

We invest in long-term solutions rather than short-term relief, building capacity within communities to sustain progress on their own.

03
🤝

Partnership

We believe no organization can achieve systemic change alone. We actively cultivate partnerships with government, business, and civil society.

04
⚖️

Equity

We prioritize communities that have been historically marginalized, ensuring that resources reach those with the greatest need and least access.

Leadership & Vision

Edward Santos Gaisano

"The measure of a foundation's success is not in the awards it receives, but in the lives it quietly and permanently transforms."

Edward Santos Gaisano, the visionary Chairman of Vicsal Foundation, Inc., brings decades of business acumen and a profound commitment to social responsibility to the organization's leadership. Under his stewardship, the Foundation has grown from a modest community initiative into one of Cebu's most impactful non-profit organizations.

His leadership philosophy is rooted in sustainable change — believing that true development comes from investing in people's capacity, not merely addressing their immediate needs. This vision shapes every program and partnership the Foundation pursues.

Voices from the Community

"

The scholarship from Vicsal Foundation changed everything for my family. I was the first in my barangay to finish college. Now I work as a nurse, giving back to the same communities that nurtured me.

"

After Typhoon Odette, we had nothing left. The Foundation was one of the first to arrive — not just with relief goods, but with materials to help us rebuild. That support gave us hope when we needed it most.

"

Through the livelihood training program, I learned pastry-making and received startup capital. My small bakery now employs three neighbors. Vicsal Foundation didn't just help me — they helped my whole community.

Home · About Us

Our Story &
Our Purpose

Rooted in Cebu, reaching across the Philippines. Vicsal Foundation, Inc. has been a beacon of hope and opportunity since 2007.

A Foundation Built on Faith, Family, and Service

Vicsal Foundation, Inc. was incorporated under Philippine law and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under Registration Number CS200713742. Born from a deep sense of social responsibility and a desire to give back to the communities that helped build the Gaisano legacy, the Foundation was established to serve as a formal vehicle for sustained charitable work.

From its headquarters at the 5th Floor of Metro Gaisano Ayala Center in Cebu City, the Foundation has grown steadily, expanding its reach to multiple provinces across the Visayas region. What began as a local initiative has matured into a structured organization with dedicated programs, professional staff, and a network of partners committed to shared impact.

Every initiative is guided by one central belief: that change must be sustainable, rooted in community, and driven by dignity — not charity for its own sake, but empowerment that lasts.
